OFF-SITE SERVICES
Using our Fleetcare off-site teams Wabtec Rail is able to provide a wide range of
services at a customer’s own facility located anywhere within the UK. Our staff are
able to work anywhere within the UK on short of long term contracts and will be
certified as fully competent in the tasks that they are carrying out.
Services that can be provided include:
> Wagon maintenance
> Locomotive maintenance
> Passenger rolling stock modification
> Wheelset examination and ultrasonic testing
> Air conditioning system servicing and health checks
> Door system installation, overhaul or upgrade
> OTMR Data Recorder Installation and servicing
> Infrastructure plant operators
CONTROL CENTRE
Wabtec Rail’s off-site services are managed from our main Doncaster Works where our
Fleetcare Control Centre is located. The Control Centre co-ordinates Wabtec Rail’s
response to emergency call-outs. Our teams of mobile technicians can attend to
requests for assistance anywhere in the UK, providing support in cases of rolling stock
derailments and breakdowns.
The Control Centre is able to offer customers a comprehensive fleet maintenance
service. All maintenance activities, repairs carried out and materials used will be
entered on to a maintenance database and regular reports produced, tailored to each
customer’s requirements. These reports can include Safety Performance Monitoring
and wheelset maintenance histories.
