WABTEC RAIL LIMITED SIGNS CONTRACT WITH EVERSHOLT
Wabtec Rail Limited has been awarded the contract by Eversholt Rail for the OH2 overhaul of their MkIV coaches. The coaches are currently leased from HSBC Rail UK by East Coast Railway and run on the East Coast Mainline.
There are 302 MkIV coaches in total which are formed into 30 permanent rakes of 10 with 2 spare vehicles. The first rake is due on works in May 2010 and the last rake is expected to be completed by June 2013.
The OH2 overhaul will be carried out in Wabtec Rail’s E2 shop alongside the Class 91 locomotive maintenance line and will be Project Managed by Alan Clayton.
This contract compliments the work currently being carried out on behalf of Eversholt Rail which includes the maintenance of the Class 91 locomotives and the overhaul of the MkIV bogies as part of our Bogie Management Contract.
