Within our components division we provide the UK’s foremost maintenance and overhaul service covering all types of rolling stock brake equipment, suspension systems, hydraulic dampers and vehicle buffers.

In addition we supply an extensive range of rolling stock spares and friction products, all available for fast delivery and all manufactured to the very highest standards.

AIR BRAKE EQUIPMENT

Our overhaul expertise extends across a complete range of equipment including air brake distributors, brake cylinders, disc brake actuators, slack adjusters, air reservoirs, end cocks and hoses. Needless to say, we are totally familiar with the leading manufacturers’ equipment – D&M, SAB, Knorr Bremse and Wabtec/Wabco brake systems.

SUSPENSION SYSTEMS AND DAMPERS

Our teams of technicians undertake the overhaul of hydraulic dampers, air suspension systems and air suspension control valves manufactured by all of the leading suppliers including Boge, Koni and Woodhead.

BUFFERS

We undertake the overhaul of all types of buffer, including all Oleo hydraulic self-contained and capsule units and UIC and BR rubber sprung units. All units are overhauled by our own fully trained and certified staff to our own high standards.

FRICTION

As part of the Wabtec Corporation we supply Cobra composite brake blocks and pads for all railway applications. As you would expect from an OEM organisation we provide comprehensive engineering support to our customers with advice on the selection of friction products to suit each individual application.

PARTS SUPPLY

We are able to supply a wide range of railway rolling stock spares and parts at competitive prices. Drawgear, suspension, bogie, wheelset, brake equipment, air conditioning and door system parts can be supplied, frequently from our extensive stocks.

TRAIN DATA RECORDERS

We provide new Wabtec Q-Tron train data recorders for both new build and retrofit installations. With over 40,000 units supplied worldwide Wabtec are the world leaders in OTMR design and supply. At our Doncaster Works we provide a fully comprehensive after sales support service including the repair, servicing, testing and certification of units. Our engineers are able to advise customers on unit installation, operation and the downloading and analysis of data.

TOTAL CAPABILITY

Whatever the assignment, our component customers enjoy a service which draws on an exceptionally wide range of expertise – repair, maintenance and overhaul of locomotives, passenger rolling stock (including refurbishment programmes), wheelsets and bogies, air conditioning and door systems.
